Welcome to Newton! The Garden City is 7 miles directly west of Boston (or about 15 minutes along the Mass Pike). We’re also conveniently located right where the Mass Pike and route 95 intersect allowing for easy access in any direction. Newton has been consistently ranked as one of the best cities to live in in the country. With about 88,000 residents the place is truly a city. However it has the charm of a bedroom community too, and is divided up into 13 villages listed as follows: Auburndale, Chestnut Hill, Newton Centre, Newton Corner, Newton Highlands, Newton Lower Falls, Newton Upper Falls (both on the Charles River, and both once small industrial sites), Newtonville, Nonantum (also called “The Lake”), Oak Hill, Thompsonville, Waban and West Newton. Each of the Villages has it’s own unique feel and most often it’s own little village center. Architectural style of homes also varies village by village as does average price point for homes.

The median sale price for a single family home in Newton in 2016 was $1,055,000. Condos on average, cost a bit less with a median sale price of $722,000. The real estate market is generally stable here as residents have a higher median income than many other local suburbs with the city consistently drawing families attracted to Newton’s excellent schools and quality of life.
